981/718/991 Porsche Light Weight Bucket Seat (LWBS) Recliner Brackets Overview:

If there's one complaint about the OEM Porsche LWBS, it's the recline angle. Long drives put pressure on your lower back and wearing a helmet touches the back of the headrest for an uncomfortable drive. These DBJ recliner brackets raise your Porsche Light Weight Bucket Seat in the front just over ~1” (27mm) increasing the recline angle for your OEM seats. This small change increases comfort for daily driving and even long distance drives. The biggest benefit is the increased room for track helmets preventing you from hitting the back of the headrest! Our design focuses on cost reduction and hiding away in your OEM interior. Brackets are symmetrical to reduce your cost and we only offer fully anodized parts and black hardware. Each set comes with 2 brackets and hardware for 1 seat.

Features:

  • Increased head clearance for helmets while on track and added comfort for long drives.

  • Made from AL6061-T6, these brackets are plenty strong for all kinds of driving styles and duty.

  • Anodized in black these brackets blend right in with your OEM interior.

  • All hardware in black finish

  • Easy installation, requiring the removal of just 2 bolts while leaving the OEM Seat in the vehicle. (see installation instructions)

  • Fits 991.1/991.2 GT3, GT3RS & 981/718 GT4 model seats

3D Scanning & Prototyping

Each DBJ product goes through several rigorous design phases. Starting from scratch, we collect high accuracy scanned data from cars to ensure great fitment. Data is then processed and models and designs are created using CAD software. Prototyping using 3D rapid prototyping printers are used to confirm scans and fitment. Sometimes we are able to print out entirely functional parts for road and track testing.

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Initial designs are tested using both finite element analysis (FEA) and computation fluid dynamics (CFD). Both these methods require several iterations to ensure proper performance and optimization of DBJ parts.

Real world testing

Finally once the design is completed, we test our prototypes on the street and track! Thoroughly test driving our products helps ensure that our customers have nothing but the best experiences when it comes to installation and performance results.
